Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
The In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority recently reached tentative agreement with SEIU Local 2015 and the resulting Memorandum of Understanding is included as Attachment A. The primary changes include:
- 3 year agreement, expiring on September 30, 2023, with a wage supplement of $0.75/hr that will float above minimum wage
- Provision of additional personal protective equipment
- Release time for contract negotiations

This agreement will permanently increase the County's IHSS Maintenance of Effort (MOE) by approximately $500,000 per year ($1,500,000 over the life of the agreement) and will be subject to the current 4% annual MOE inflator. Staff will return to the Board at the Mid-Year Budget update with a long-term funding plan. |
