Recommended Action

Adopt Authorized Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes to a Countywide class as well as in the County Administrator's Office, Health & Human Services Agency and Human Resources departments; and appoint Chief Deputy Ag Commissioner David Guerrero as the interim Ag Commissioner & Sealer of Weights and Measures, effective September 13, 2020 and continuing until the appointment of a permanent Ag Commissioner & Sealer of Weights and Measures.

Explanation: This action reallocates seven (7) regular full time positions from Employment Services Specialist III positions to Intensive Case Manager II positions. This reallocation establishes a new class series and salary range effective January 5, 2020.

The interim appointment of an Ag Commissioner & Sealer of Weights and Measures is needed to ensure continuity of department operations while a recruitment for a permanent appointment is conducted.
