Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
In October of 2016, the Yolo County General Services Department, Information Technology Division prepared and distributed a Request for Qualification (RFQ) for vendors to provide professional Geographic Information System (GIS) services, to the division in order to expand the County's existing GIS capabilities. Eight responses to this RFQ were received by the division, with Interwest Consulting Group providing the appropriate combination of expertise and competitive pricing. The division has successfully utilized Interwest on a number of projects since the completion of the competitive bidding process.
Recently, the Yolo County Cannabis Task Force approached the General Service Department about utilizing Interwest to complete necessary workflows and expanded GIS capability in order to facilitate the work being done by the task force. Interwest Consulting Group has provided a scope of work which includes: spatial analysis, application development and configuration, GIS infrastructure setup and support and strategic coordination and workflow planning. By utilizing Interwest Consulting Group on this project, the Cannabis Task Force will be able to have a solution delivered in the timely manner that meet their work demands. Additionally, Interwest’s knowledge of the County’s GIS program and infrastructure will ensure that sustainable solutions and workflows are put in place. |
