Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
The Statewide Travel Program is open to other governmental agencies including Cities, Counties, School districts and other agencies to participate. By leveraging the statewide travel spend, the State gains the advantage of having better travel pricing available and can offer this to participating agencies. As a participant in the program, the County departments can leverage this program to receive better travel prices when booking through the CalTravelStore website. The County will also be eligible for an annual rebate in the program depending on the travel spent as part of the program.
The State of California Department of General Services performed a new RFP resulting in their changing from the existing vendor American Express to Citibank effective November 1, 2017. The authorization of the participatory agreement will allow the County to continue to participate in the program. |
