| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
| The UC Davis Extension has developed a human and social services training program that meets training requirements mandated by the California Department of Social Services in the areas of fraud, income eligibility verification, overpayments and child welfare core knowledge. UC Davis Extension is the only training provider in our area that meets this need. This recommended contract will provide 14 units (or 84 hours) of training for social services staff and ensure the Agency meets it mandated training requirements. |

| The total cost of the training is $55,300; however, the University provides $5,530 of in-kind contribution bringing the County's total share of cost to $49,770. Sufficient funds were included in the recommended budget for FY2016/17. |
