Approve first amendment to Agreement No. 17-10 with Westech Industries, Inc. increasing the maximum amount of the contract by $7,650 for communications conduit installation services.
Strategic Plan Goal(s)
Operational Excellence
Reason for Recommended Action/Background
As part of the county's ongoing telecommunications network expansion, conduit was installed from County Road 25 down towards the landfill.  The plan is to ultimately get conduit and fiber installed all the way to Davis via the Landfill, creating a redundant network ring for critical county operations.

During construction for this previously approved conduit project, changes were required to the installation that produced additional costs. As a result, the cost for services under this agreement will increase by $7,650. The maximum amount of the overall agreement will increase from $142,080 to $149,730.

The Westech Industries contract originated from a public invitation for bid (IFB).
