Reason for Recommended Action/Background

The Office of Emergency Services (OES) Region IV Regional Disaster Medical Coordinator is responsible for regional coordination of medical and health assistance with OES Region IV. Each OES Mutual Aid Region has a Regional Disaster Medical and Health Coordinator to facilitate the rapid sharing of medical health emergency aid and recourses among regional IV counties before, during and after an emergency or disaster. This agreement establishes that the participating counties within Region IV will provide a reasonable and reciprocal exchange of services where feasible and appropriate, in the event of a medical and health emergency, disaster or catastrophic event.

There is no direct funding associated with this agreement. However, this is an agreement to share and request resources in an emergency.
