Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
In 2015, Yolo County Law Enforcement identified the growing problem of human trafficking in Yolo County. A collaborative effort resulted in an Interagency Protocol MOU. In FY 2016-17 the District Attorney hired a Human Trafficking Investigator and assigned a Deputy District Attorney with specialized training to human trafficking cases, creating a Human Trafficking Unit.
This presentation will update the Board of Supervisors on human trafficking and the progress of the Yolo County District Attorney's Human Trafficking Unit. |
