Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
In February 2016, the County and the Yolo Family Service Agency (YFSA) entered into an agreement for YFSA to provide subsidized employment for CalWORKs clients. Subsidized employment provides employers with financial support for hiring CalWORKs clients with the goal of transfering the client to unsubsidized employment. The contract was initially for $16,500 to subsidize wages for a CalWORKs client to work at YFSA. The initial amount was spent down and the client was hired in an unsubsidized position for YFSA. The increase from $16,500 to $49,000 is to ensure funding for other clients to receive subsidized employment through YFSA. |
