Reason for Recommended Action/Background

At its regular meeting on April 21, 2016, the Board of Directors for the Dunnigan Water District unanimously approved amendments to the District's bylaws. A certified copy of Resolution No. 2016-03 and a copy of the amended bylaws for the approval are attached for the approval of the Yolo County Board of Supervisors, pursuant to Water Code Section 35305. This code states that the by-laws may be repealed or amended or new by-laws adopted by the assent of two-thirds of the total vote of the district, given either in writing or by ballot cast at a district election. The by-laws may also be amended by a four-fifths vote of the directors and approval of the board of supervisors of the principal county of the district.
