Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
In accordance with County Purchasing Policy, the current adult vocational education agreement with Northern California Construction Training was set to expire after its third Board approved term on March 31, 2018. Staff identified the agreement for renewal and an RFP procurement process prior to the the beginning of the fiscal year. After coordination with Marc Nigel, from the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) and currently the Yolo County Day Reporting Center (DRC) Director, the County's Adult Vocational Education RFP was released for review and response from qualified applicants on February 20, 2018 and was set to close March 15, 2018. SCOE has agreed to a cost sharing MOU with the County for these services under the new RFP award.
Yolo County Probation is recommending this three month extension and increased funding for the same term to allow for the new RFP award to begin at the start of Fiscal Year 2018-19. The Board will receive recommendations and analysis from the Adult Vocational Education RFP in April. |
