Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
On November 8th, 2016, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 16-103, proclaiming April 6th, 2017 through November 11, 2018 a period to recognize and honor Yolo County's services in World War I. In order to facilitate the Board's request for the County and its residents to commemorate the war, Mel Russell, Project Volunteer for the "Lest We Forget" project, has been hosting presentations throughout the County over the last year in which she describes how each community was impacted by the war. |
