| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
| In February 2015, the County and Yolo Family Service Agency entered into an Agreement for Yolo Family Service Agency to provide subsidized employment training for CalWORKs clients. Subsidized employment provides employers with financial support for hiring CalWORKs clients in the Welfare to Work program, with the goal of transferring the client to unsubsidized employment. The Agreement was initially for $16,500 for FY 16/17 to subsidize the wages for CalWORKs clients to work at Yolo Family Service Agency. This Fourth Amendment increases the maximum compensation to $39,600 to accommodate current placements. |

| Yolo County has multiple Agreements with this vendor that total over $100,000. This particular agreement is a CalWORKs Subsidized Employment contract. Yolo Family Service Agency is acting as an employer for a CalWORKs trainee for work experience purposes. We'd like to increase this contract to continue the placement. All funds are State derived via CalWORKs with no General Fund impact. |
