In July 2014, the County and Yolo Food Bank entered into an Agreement for Yolo Food Bank to provide subsidized employment training for CalWORKs clients. Subsidized employment provides employers with financial support for hiring CalWORKs clients in the Welfare to Work program, with the goal of transferring the client to unsubsidized employment. The Agreement was initially for $16,500 for FY 16/17 to subsidize the wages for CalWORKs clients to work at Yolo Food Bank. This First Amendment increases the maximum compensation to $19,500 to accommodate current placements.
