Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
On January 10, 2017 the Board approved a three year contract for $208,870 with CBEC Ecoengineering (Att. A, staff report and approved contract) for Yolo Bypass tributary flow monitoring services as part of the County's "Westside Tributaries Flow Monitoring Project", funded through a Proposition 1 grant award by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The total grant award is $331,148 (Agreement # P1596031).
The reason for this amendment is because staff inadvertently used the incorrect budget schedule when drafting the CBEC contract that was approved by the Board in January 2017. The approved contract's budget is $208,870. The correct budget/contract amount is $280,983.
Staff recommends that the Board approve the amendment (Attachment B) to Contract #17-03 with CBEC Ecoengineering, increasing the total compensation by $72,113, for a total contract value of $280,983. The additional $72,113 is reimbursable by the California State Department of Fish and Wildlife. There are no general funds associated with this request nor with the project. No additional expenditures are expected this fiscal year and the remaining fund balance on the contract will be accounted for in future years' budgets. |
Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies) |
Staff has collaborated with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, County Counsel, and Department of Financial Services. |

Explanation (Expenditure and/or Revenue) |
Further explanation as needed: |
There is no fiscal impact associated with this request in the current fiscal year; expenditures are expected to remain at less than or equal to the adopted budget resolution of $100,000 for FY16/17. All contracted services are reimbursable through the County's grant agreement with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife ( Agreement # P1596031). The balance of the contract (FY's 17/18 and 18/19) expenditures will be included in the appropriate years' budgets. |
