Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
The Yolo Bowmen Archery Club has been managing the archery range at Grasslands Regional Park, 30475 County Road 104, Davis, without a concession agreement since June 30, 2015. The expired lease agreement included a $1.00 annual lease payment to the County, which does not accurately reflect the current cost of maintaining the areas utilized by the Club. The General Services Department is currently negotiating a new contract and lease price which would reflect the true cost to maintain the park in question. The Department is requesting a short term addendum to the now expired contract, allowing the Bowmen to continue operating the archery range until December 31, 2016.
If negotiations for continued operation by the Yolo Bowmen are not successful, the Department intends to release a Request for Information (RFI) seeking proposals for another organization to manage and operate the archery range. |

Explanation (Expenditure and/or Revenue) |
Further explanation as needed: |
The lease payment for space at Grasslands Regional Park was $1.00 annually. This amount has been collected for the 15/16 fiscal year. On-going negotiations for a new contract will include a lease price which accurately reflects the true cost of maintaining Grasslands Regional Park. Though currently unknown, the division expects the 2016-2017 fiscal year budget to reflect an increase in anticipated revenue. |
