| The fiscal impact for FY2017-18 is $185,986. The fiscal impact for the entire four-year term of the agreement is $446,161. |
| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
| The County reached a tentative agreement with the Yolo County Probation Association on January 31, 2017 for a four-year agreement in effect July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2021. The complete Memorandum of Understanding is included as Attachment A. The primary changes include eliminating vacation buy-back (Section 6.13.5), removing all paid time off as time "worked" for overtime calculation purposes (Section 5.6.1), and a 1% salary differential for Detention Officers for the duration of the department's grant from the United States Office of Refugee & Resettlement (ORR) (Section 7.1.2). An equity adjustment of 4% is provided to bring employees to 95% of the Total Compensation Survey benchmark average, as well as 2% cost of living adjustments in years 2018, 2019 and 2020. |
