Approve short-term lease agreement with Yolo Bowmen for concession and management of archery range, located at Grasslands Regional Park, south of Davis, through April 30, 2017.

The Yolo Bowmen Archery Club has been managing the archery range at Grasslands Regional Park, 30475 County Road 104, south of  Davis for approximately 30 years. The master agreement expired June 30, 2015, but was extended in order to continue negotiations for a successor agreement. That agreement expired on December 31, 2016, at which time, the archery range was closed. A follow up meeting took place in early 2017 with the Bowmen and both parties agreed a new agreement was possible.

General Services is now requesting an additional short term lease that will allow the Bowmen to continue to operate until April 30, 2017, while negotiations continue. If negotiations for continued operation by the Yolo Bowmen are not successful by April 30, 2017, the department intends to release a Request for Information seeking proposals for another organization to manage and operate the archery range or equivalent recreation opportunity.
