Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
Reclamation District No. 537 is holding an election on November 5, 2019 for four seats on its Board of Trustees. On June 19, 2019, Reclamation District 537 voted to increase their number of Trustees on the governing board from three to five members. They received five nomination petitions for those four seats, so will need to proceed to an election. In order to conduct the election, it is necessary for an Election Board to be appointed by the Board of Supervisors of Yolo County. Per Water Code Section 50700, the County Board of Supervisors appoints an election board of three landowners to help oversee the election.
