Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
Yolo County Library issued a purchase order for an automated materials handling system from Lyngsoe Systems, Inc., in December 2017, and the system was placed into service at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library in May 2018. This agreement would provide maintenance services from the manufacturer for the duration of the expected useful life of the system. The agreement is coming before the Board of Supervisors as the term length exceeds the purchasing agent's delegated authority. |
Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies) |
County Counsel has approved this Agreement as to form. |
Competitive Bid Process |
A Sole Source Letter for the service agreement was reviewed and approved by the Purchasing Manager. The lifetime cost of the maintenance agreement is significantly less than a new system. |
