Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
The UC Davis Extension offers a wide range of human and social services training programs, which Health and Human Service Agency uses to provide non-mandated trainings to staff. In FY 2015-16, Health and Human Services Agency provided the following trainings through this Agreement:
Fiscal Essentials
Coping with Secondary Trauma and Compassion Fatigue
Management Development Program
Supervisory Leadership Series
This recommended contract will provide 14 units (or 84 hours) of training for social services staff and allow the Agency to offer trainings geared toward improving productivity and customer service. For FY 2016/17, Health and Human Services Agency expects to offer the following trainings:
Tour Guide, not Gatekeeper
Bridges Out of Poverty
Management Development Program
Supervisory Leadership Series |
Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies) |

The total cost of the training is $55,300; however, the University provides $5,530 of in-kind contributions bringing the County's share of cost to $49,770. Sufficient funds were included in the recommended budget for FY 2016-2017. |
