Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
In mid-September of this year, Probation staff identified that the DNA/Live Scan machine located at the 2780 East Gibson Offices is no longer operational and cannot be serviced. The machine is used routinely to live scan probationers as part of the DNA collection process. The machine being replaced is approximately 11 years old and has been experiencing service issues. For these reasons, staff are recommending the appropriation of special funds from the DNA Fund to support this equipment replacement. |
