Approve agreement number 18-10601 with California Department of Public Health to receive funding in the amount of $25,000 for the HIV prevention activities as outlined by the Office of Aids, Center for Infectious Diseases-California Department of Public Health for the period November 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. Recommended Action
  1. Approve and authorize the Chair to sign agreement number 18-10601 with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to receive funding in the amount of $ 25,000 for the HIV prevention activities as outlined by the Office of Aids, Center for Infectious Diseases-California Department of Public Health for the period November 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019; and
     
  2. Delegate authority to the Director of Health and Human Services Agency and/or her/his designee to sign and execute any additional forms, documents and/or amendments as necessary relating to this agreement, provided there are no significant programmatic or financial changes.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

This agreement is to receive funding to perform HIV prevention activities as outlined by the Office of Aids, Center for Infectious Diseases- California Department of Public Health.
 
The Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency- Community Health Branch plans to use these funds to supplement and enhance local HIV protection plan activities and services. Approval of this agreement will help the County of Yolo to effectively implement HIV prevention programs for the benefit of its population.
