Recommended Action

Approve and authorize the Chair to sign first amendment to Agreement No. 17-94092 with California Department of Health Care Services to modify the terms and conditions of the agreement with no change in the funding amount for the provision of Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System for substance use disorder treatment services for the period June 30, 2018 through June 30, 2020.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

This is a standard Agreement with amendment issued by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to California Counties for multi-year intergovernmental agreements for the purpose of identifying and providing covered Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC- DS) services for substance use disorder treatment.

Funding may be used by Yolo County to ensure the availability and accessibility of an adequate number of facilities or service locations; provide professional, allied and supportive personnel to provide medically necessary services; and ensure the authorization of services for urgent conditions.

Approval of this amendment will enable HHSA to continue providing services related to Substance Use Disorder for the benefit of Yolo County’s residents.

County Counsel has approved this Agreement as to form.

There is no fiscal impact related to this action. This amendment does not change the total funding amount of the agreement. The funding associated with this agreement is included in the adopted budget for fiscal year 18-19 and will be included in the requested budget process for future fiscal years.
