YOLO COUNTY ASSESSMENT APPEALS BOARD AUGUST 25, 2021 MINUTES   The Yolo County Assessment Appeals Board met on the 25th day of August, 2021, via teleconference at 9:00 a.m. pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20 (March 17, 2020), available at the following link.

9:00 A.M. CALL TO ORDER
Before the meeting began, Chair Scribner provided the following: We’d like to take a moment to acknowledge and recognize our long-term Appeal Board Member Alan Flory, who recently passed away. He has served on this Board since April, 2007 and in that time shared his vast expertise and knowledge in matters of assessment. He was such a valued member not only to our Board but also a devoted family man and community member. He shall be terribly missed by all those who knew him.
	1.			Consider approval of the agenda.

	2.			Public Comment: Opportunity for members of the public to address the Assessment Appeals Board on subjects not otherwise on the agenda relating to the Yolo County Assessment Appeals Board. The Board reserves the right to impose a reasonable limit on time afforded to any topic or to any individual speaker.

					There was no public comment.

	5. 					Considered Assessment Appeal Application No. 19-038 filed by David P. Schwenger. David P. Schwenger, applicant, appeared. Applicant and Chief Deputy Assessor George Galang, Principal Appraiser Patricia Sanchez and County Counsel to the Assessor Eric May addressed the Board.   During the presentation the following exhibits were furnished to the Board and the opposing party and shared on the screen: Applicant's Exhibit 1 - Background information Assessor's Exhibit A - Response to Application for reduction After consideration the matter was taken under submission.  Applicant was appraised he would be notified by mail within 30 days.

	9.			Consider the following Assessment Appeal Application(s): Application Nos. 19-144 and 20-066 - Pacific Coast Producers Inc.

	10.			Consider the following Assessment Appeal Application(s): Application Nos. 18-041 thru 18-043, 19-074 and 19-075 - Safeway Inc.

					Considered Assessment Appeal Application Nos. 18-041 thru 18-043, 19-074 and 19-075 filed by Safeway, Inc. Brent Buskirk, Agent for Applicant, appeared. Agent addressed the Board explaining he would not be able to address the Board at this time as he was suddenly called away to handle other matters and asked the Board to consider his request to continue these appeals. Minute Order No. 21-58: Approved continuing Assessment Appeal Application Nos. 18-041 thru 18-043, 19-074 and 19-075 filed by Safeway, Inc. to October 27, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. (All applications expire 12/31/22) MOTION: Hoppin.
