The Yolo County Housing met on the 28th day of July, 2021, via teleconference at 3:00 p.m. pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20 (March 17, 2020), available at the following link.

The Board reserves the right to impose a reasonable limit on time afforded to any topic or to any individual speaker.

   9. Brief Interim Executive Director Update
             
         

Interim ED Updates
Security Patrols at Yolano Donnelly
  • Following an Invitation for Bids and work to gather all required contracting materials with the successful bidder, we estimate beginning Security Patrols during August.
Monthly Day of Service (updated from ‘Community clean-up day”)
  • Kicked off at Yolano-Donnelly on July 21st, with staff, two tenants, “Rec To Go” (portable outdoor recreation activities for children).  Next steps include a second event at Yolano Donnelly, on September 16th, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, with a “Paletas con la Policia” event (ice cream pops!).  It is designed to be an outreach to the Spanish-speaking community, hearing concerns, showing children the inside of patrol cars, and bringing out the canines to be pet.  Rec to Go Van will also participate. 
Website redesign
  • Both YCH and New Hope CDC website redesigns are underway by Rare Digital
Voucher Update 
  • 179 new vouchers are in process
    • 67 Emergency Housing Vouchers, in coordination with the Homeless Continuum of Care
    • 112 new and pending Project Based Vouchers
                22 at Blue Mtn Terrace in Winters;
                10 at Homestead in Davis
                  5 at Hotel Woodland
                 15 pending at 102/Beamer in Woodland
                 60 pending at West Capital in West Sacramento

             
   10. Action items and reports from members of the Commission, including announcements and questions to be referred to staff
             
         

Commissioner Walters invited fellow Commissioners to celebrate National Night Out at Las Casitas this evening at 5 p.m. Commissioner Lansburgh thanked Sandra Sigrist, Interim Executive Director, for the benefit of allowing employees to make presentations to the Board, showcasing their expertise.
