The Yolo County District Attorney's office has been receiving the Child Advocacy Center Program grant from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services since fiscal year 2017-2018.
Per countywide protocol, all child sexual abuse cases are sent to Yolo County's Multi-Disciplinary Interview Center (MDIC), which is Yolo County's Children's Advocacy Center (CAC), for review. All referrals are eligible for advocacy, outreach, and therapy.
This grant allows MDIC to provide dedicated and specific job positions to focus on forensic interviews on child victims and program development which includes improved communication with partner agencies, protocol updates, regular review of cases, and changes necessary to remain in compliance with the national standards. |
