Approve the consolidation of elections for Cacheville Service District, Colusa County Water District, Dunnigan Water District, Esparto Community Services District, Knights Landing Community Services District, Madison Community Services District and Yolo Fire Protection District. (No general fund impact) (Blacklock/Dachtler)
Recommended Action
  1. Approve the requests of the following local jurisdictions to consolidate their elections set for November 5, 2019 with the Uniform District Election Law Election as permitted under California Elections Code 10400 et seq.:
     
    1. Cacheville Service District
    2. Colusa County Water District
    3. Esparto Community Services District
    4. Knights Landing Community Services District
    5. Madison Community Services District
    6. Yolo Fire Protection District
       
  2. Approve the request of the following local jurisdiction to consolidate their elections set for November 12, 2019 with the Landowner Election as permitted under California Elections Codes 10555 and 10400 et seq.:
     
    1. Dunnigan Water District

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The Community Services Districts, Colusa County Water District and Yolo Fire Protection District have each adopted resolutions calling an election to be held on November 5, 2019. They have also requested that the election be consolidated with the General Election scheduled for November 5, 2019. The Dunnigan Water District has adopted a resolution calling for an election to be held on November 12, 2019 and has requested that the election be consolidated with the Landowner Election scheduled for November 12, 2019.

Elections Code Sections 10400 et. seq. permit the Board of Supervisors to consolidate the uniform district election law election on November 5, 2019 in these circumstances and Elections Code Sections 10555 and 10400 et.seq. for the Landowner Election on November 12, 2019.
