Approve agreement with Kaiser Vacaville Medical Center through the Yolo County Emergency Medical Service Agency to provide Level II Trauma Services in the amount of $75,000 for the period March 25, 2019 through June 30, 2022.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
This is a revenue agreement to designate a 9-1-1 Level II Trauma Receiving center for Yolo County. As defined in Health and Safety Code, a local emergency medical services agency designated trauma center is a licensed hospital, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, which has been designated as a Level I, II, III, or IV trauma center, in accordance with Articles 2 through 5 of this Chapter. This is part of the local emergency medical services agency trauma system  that includes policies and/or procedures to assure compliance of the trauma system.

County Counsel has approved this Agreement as to form.

No general funds are required by this action.  These are revenue generating services through emergency medical services funds. The amount of $75,000 is included in the Health and Human Services Agency recommended budget for FY 19-20.  The related funding will be included in the requested budget process for future fiscal years.
