Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
This is a revenue agreement to designate a 9-1-1 Level II Trauma Receiving center for Yolo County. As defined in Health and Safety Code, a local emergency medical services agency designated trauma center is a licensed hospital, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, which has been designated as a Level I, II, III, or IV trauma center, in accordance with Articles 2 through 5 of this Chapter. This is part of the local emergency medical services agency trauma system that includes policies and/or procedures to assure compliance of the trauma system. |

No general funds are required by this action. These are revenue generating services through emergency medical services funds. The amount of $75,000 is included in the Health and Human Services Agency recommended budget for FY 19-20. The related funding will be included in the requested budget process for future fiscal years.
