Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on California’s diverse population groups. The State must work to ensure a fair and equitable distribution, allocation, and administration of the COVID-19 vaccine to those population groups that have been most impacted. As such, the California Government Operations Agency (GovOps) is providing this funding to accelerate COVID-19 vaccinations in the most vulnerable, high-risk populations within Yolo County.
This agreement will provide $350,000 in funding to support Yolo County’s efforts to partner with local Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to conduct outreach to vaccine-hesitant communities to help address healthy equity, offer guidance/facilitation of the State’s My Turn process, and support other County vaccine efforts. Staff recommends acceptance of this agreement to support these efforts. |
