| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
On May 18, 2021, the Yolo Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2021-051821 (Att. A), consolidating the Yolo Fire Protection District General District Election with the Statewide General Election in November of even-numbered years. This change to even numbered election years is expected to increase voter turnout and provide cost savings to the District.
Recommended action requires the approval of the Yolo County Board of Supervisors in accordance with Elections Code Section 1304 and Sections 104050 through 14057. This Resolution (Att. A) shall not become effective unless and until it is approved by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors, at which time this Resolution shall take effect immediately as a Resolution relating to an election. |
