Minute Order No. 20-54: Authorized Chair Sandy to sign a letter of support for Health Officer attestation that Yolo County meets state readiness criteria with the addition of two recommendations from the Yolo County Commission on Aging and Adult Services relating to nursing facilities: 1) Skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) in Yolo County have experienced the greatest infection and death rates. Special attention, county oversight and support needs to continue with this population. In addition, all congregate living facilities for seniors should be included in the Roadmap, for education and support. Congregate living facilities include SNFs as well as assisted living facilities large and small, board and cares and all residential care facilities for the elderly (RCFE); and 2) To better protect those residents living in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs) the county should require that any outside caregivers not normally employed by the facility be given the same level of notification regarding exposure to persons positive for COVID-19 at the facility, COVID-19 testing and follow up, and precautions afforded to the facility employees.
