| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
At the December 10, 2019 Board Governance Session, the Board of Supervisors discussed their long term vision for the Yolo County organization. Following these discussions, staff prepared draft vision statements that were shared with the Board at their February 4, 2020 Board Governance Session. In reviewing the statements the Board chose a vision they felt encompassed the key long term goals of the County organization and their desired outcomes for the Yolo County community. It is intended that this vision, in alignment with the County mission, values statement, and 2020-2024 Strategic Plan, will further guide the efforts of the Yolo County organization.
The proposed vision statement for Board adoption is as follows:
"Yolo County is a healthy, safe and vibrant community where all have the opportunity to thrive and the environment is protected for future generations." |
