Reason for Recommended Action/Background
In fiscal year 2018-2019, Consumer Fraud/Environmental Protection (CFEP) entered into a contract with Aqua Terra Aeris Law Group to assist them with some of their larger cases as the unit was short handed.

Even though CFEP is no longer short handed, it was essential to contract with Aqua Terra Aeris Law Group in fiscal year 2019-2020.  With their expert knowledge and time spent on the cases, it is necessary for Aqua Terra Aeris Law Group to be involved while these cases are still open. Furthermore, as these cases are large and have put a strain on staff resources, the original contract amount is requested to be increased by $450,000.
