| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
The 2016-2019 Strategic Plan has served as a guide for the Board of Supervisors and staff when directing and implementing County efforts for the past three years. With the plan nearing its completion date of December 31, 2019, staff worked to compile a summary report showcasing the successes stemming from those targeted efforts in order to celebrate and preserve the achievements. The achievements are showcased in the report utilizing quotes, anecdotes, and photographs, which are organized under each of the four goals of the strategic plan: Thriving Residents, Safe Communities, Sustainable Environment, and Flourishing Agriculture. This information was compiled with the assistance of department staff and the Board of Supervisors’ district offices.
As the County embarks on the implementation of the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan, beginning in January 2020, it is the intention that this showcase document will serve as a benchmark for future strategic plan achievements and as an instrument for sharing the County’s strategic efforts with the community. |
