The Yolo County Housing met on the 27th day of October, 2021, via teleconference at 3:00 p.m. pursuant to Government Code section 54953(e)(1) (as amended by Assembly Bill 361), available at the following link.

The Board reserves the right to impose a reasonable limit on time afforded to any topic or to any individual speaker.

   11. Approve and conduct the reappointment and swearing-in of the Winters Commissioner, Pierre Neu, and Alternate, Wade Cowan, each for a four-year term.
             
         

Minute Order No. 21-28: Approved and conducted the swearing-in of the Winters Commissioner Pierre Neu for a four-year term. Alternate Wade Cowan was not in attendance at this meeting for the swearing-in.

   12. Brief Interim Executive Director Update
             
         

Interim ED Updates
  • Repositioning update: YCH is moving forward with the process to transition from Public Housing to all Vouchers over the next several years.  The ED will present at the Winters City Council Meeting on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, providing the Councilmembers with an update on this repositioning.  Two of the four current El Rio Villa developments – the oldest, built in the 1950’s and 1960’s – will undergo some redevelopment.  Community input processes with tenants will begin in 2022 in order to choose the community’s path forward.
  • Expressed her thanks to the Yolo County Commissioners and the Dixon Housing Authority members for the discussion today.

             
   13. Action items and reports from members of the Commission, including announcements and questions to be referred to staff
             
         

Commissioner Orozco noted that newly sworn-in West Sacramento Councilmember Dawnte Early-West has been assigned to Yolo County Housing, so she will continue serving until Ms. Early-West is sworn-in.

Commissioner Lansburgh inquired how the properites did after the recent storm, to which Jim Gillette noted there was fairly minimal damage.
