Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
In accordance with the Board Statement of Purpose for the Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual every policy is to be reviewed each year. During a review of the Advisory Boards, Commissions, Committees and Councils Policy it was determined edits were required to better reflect our processes and procedures, as well as provide flexibility for staffing these groups. The policy was last updated in June, 1983. The following edits are recommended:
- Clarification of permanent committee types
- Clarification of ad hoc committee types
- Option of the Board to allow for multiple terms on committees to allow for situations where there are no available replacement members.
- Delete the outdated list of committees. Added this applies to all board appointed advisory groups.
- Delete the Applicability section as it is duplicative of previous sections.
Attached is a copy of the redline version of the policy showing the recommended changes as well as a clean version. |
