Recommended Action
Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Service Agreement with Lyngsoe Systems, Inc., in the amount of $154,271 for maintenance services for the automated materials handling system at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library through May 14, 2028.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Yolo County Library issued a purchase order for an automated materials handling system from Lyngsoe Systems, Inc., in December 2017, and the system was placed into service at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library in May 2018. This agreement would provide maintenance services from the manufacturer for the duration of the expected useful life of the system. The agreement is coming before the Board of Supervisors as the term length exceeds the purchasing agent's delegated authority.

County Counsel has approved this Agreement as to form.
Competitive Bid Process
A Sole Source Letter for the service agreement was reviewed and approved by the Purchasing Manager. The lifetime cost of the maintenance agreement is significantly less than a new system.
