| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
On February 19, 2019 the Board of Supervisors approved Agreement No. 19-25 (18-0588-000-SG) with the California Department of Food and Agriculture in the amount of $46,749 to perform apiary inspections services. The agreement was established to perform various apiary inspection services to ensure the vitality of the beekeeping industry and to prevent the introduction or spread of apiary disease within the State.
The California Department of Food and Agriculture has amended the agreement by $42,576 for a new total not to exceed amount of $89,325. The additional funds will allow the Agriculture Department to perform necessary services in the area of disease inspection as well as enforcement activities which were not originally anticipated. |
