Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
The YES Team is committed to the success of Yolo County employees. Every two years the YES Team conducts an employee engagement survey to understand the needs of employees and direct our efforts accordingly. The survey identifies the key drivers of Yolo County employee engagement. The surveys in both 2016 and 2018 were both conducted in similar formats and each garnered over 50% county-wide participation. Participating departments included Agriculture, Board of Supervisors, County Administration, County Counsel, Child Support Services, Community Services, Financial Services, General Services, Health & Human Services, Library, Probation, and Public Defender. The purpose of this report is to share the results of the 2018 Employee Engagement Survey as well as the efforts that have been made by both the YES Team and department employee engagement teams to support identified employee needs. The YES Team is asking for the Board’s continued support as we move forward with a number of initiatives in 2019 that will be shared as part of today’s presentation. |
