Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
On September 25, 2018 County staff provided an update to the Board of Supervisors on the work of the Yolo Adult Day Health Center (ADHC) Board Ad Hoc Sub-Committee. The Board formed that committee in November 2015 to assist in identifying a long term sustainability solution for the Yolo ADHC, which struggles with a budget deficit and client waitlist. Based on outreach and data review, the subcommittee has sought to locate a larger facility for the Yolo ADHC to resolve its sustainability issues.
Under the proposed work authorization, the commercial contracting company Kitchell would conduct a facility analysis, prepare cost estimates, and prepare a timeline for three facility options for the Yolo ADHC; which are as follows:
- Renovate and expand the existing building
- Construct a new building at another site
- Renovate an existing building at another site
The cost estimates and timelines will then be shared with the subcommittee to determine next steps. |
