According to the Welfare and Institutions Code, the Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) should deliver an annual report to the County Board of Supervisors. |
Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies) |
Yolo County Children’s Alliance (YCCA) is the lead for the Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) in Yolo County. The CAPC is a program of YCCA, supported by YCCA staff. As the prevention of child abuse requires the involvement of the entire community, the CAPC includes 10 representatives from Child Welfare Services, the criminal justice system, the prevention and treatment services communities, and the larger community:
- CommuniCare Health Center
- Empower Yolo
- First 5 Yolo
- Parent partner
- Yolo County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
- Yolo County Health and Human Services, Child Youth and Family Branch
- Yolo County Health and Human Services, Community Health Branch
- Yolo County Multi-Disciplinary Interview Center (MDIC)
- Yolo County Office of Education
- Yolo County Probation
