Recommended Action
  1. Adopt Authorized Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes in the Agriculture, Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Elections, District Attorney and Health and Human Services Agency departments; and
     
  2. Approve an accelerated merit step increase for an Ag & Standards Inspector II in the Ag Department from Step 4 to Step 5 for retention purposes, effective October 1, 2017.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

Yolo County Code Section 2-6.20 provides that the Board of Supervisors may adjust the salary of an incumbent to any step within the salary range in order to correct inequities, reward outstanding achievement and performance, or for other reasons acceptable to the Board.  The Ag Department is requesting that an accelerated merit step increase be granted to Danielle Ballard, Ag & Standards Inspector II, for retention purposes.  This action will move the incumbent from Step 4 to Step 5, effective October 1, 2017, and will result in a 5% increase for the incumbent.
