| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
| As described in the Board letter introducing the ordinance on July 7, 2015, the attached ordinance responds to the Board's direction to establish an integrated Health and Human Services Agency. The ordinance formally consolidates various departments and divisions into the Health and Human Services Agency, which began operating in an integrated manner on July 1, 2015. The ordinance briefly identifies the purpose and duties of the Agency, outlines various responsibilities of the Director and other officers included within the organizational structure of the Agency, and otherwise provides for the transition of various existing positions and services into the newly-created Agency. |
