| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
In October and November 2020, the three county Boards of Supervisors approved and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) creating the Colusa, Sutter, and Yolo Regional Child Support Agency.
The original MOU had the California Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) issuing a single regional allocation to Yolo starting July 2021 and the three counties invoicing one another over the next five (5) years to cover the costs of payroll, etc. However, DCSS agreed to adjust the allocation between the three counties during the 5 year transition period to align with the shifting costs. This change is of benefit to the three counties as it will significantly decrease intercountry invoicing during the transition period. |
