Recommended Action
  1. Authorize the use of General Contingency Funds to purchase and install an HVAC unit  at Yolo Emergency Communications Agency building;
     
  2. Adopt budget resolution adjusting the General Services: Facilities Division 2020-21 budget to reflect an increase of $22,484; and
     
  3. Approve amendment to the 2020-21 authorized equipment list.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
In order to ensure continuity of operations at the Yolo Emergency Communication Agency, and the safety and well-being of employees, the General Services Department will purchase an HVAC unit to replace the one on site. The current HVAC is no longer operational. The unit is 18 years old and runs 24 hours a day, and repairing the unit is no longer a viable option. General Fund Contingency is being requested to purchase and install the new HVAC unit.
