| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
| After a close call safety incident related to arc flash at the Yolo County Central Landfill Methane Power Plant a remote circuit breaker racking system was purchased to eliminate any future safety hazard. The remote circuit breaker racking system purchased was an emergency purchase for safe operation of the facility. The need for this racking system safety device was not known at the time of budget formulation; hence the need for an emergency purchase and this budget amendment request. Following a competitive solicitation process, a purchase order was awarded to Western Electrical Services, Inc. (PO# 174229) in the amount of: $ 30,635 dated 6/4/20. |
