| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
| The County reached a tentative agreement with the Yolo County Correctional Officers Association on March 12, 2018 for a two-year agreement in effect November 1, 2017 through October 31, 2019. The complete Memorandum of Understanding is included as Attachment A. In addition to various other changes made to the contract to clarify or correct existing language, the new contract eliminates accumulated time off in lieu of holiday pay (Section 12.1). The agreement also includes a 2% cost of living adjustment in years 2017 and 2018, and equity adjustments to bring the Correctional Officer and Animal Care Technician classes to 95% of the Total Compensation Survey benchmark average (1% and 2.5%, respectively). |
