Continue the public hearing for the adoption of the updated Flood Protection Ordinance from April 24, 2018 to May 22, 2018.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Staff recommends that the Board continue the public hearing for the adoption of the updated Flood Protection Ordinance from April 24, 2018 to May 22, 2018. This will allow additional time to meet with farmers and other interested parties before final action to consider adoption of the proposed changes to the ordinance on May 22, 2018.
Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies)
Staff has met with various interested parties including the Farm Bureau over the last year as the ordinance has been revised to comply with FEMA requirements.
