Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
The Programs Benefiting Children (PBC) Workgroup consists of representatives from Yolo County Departments and the Yolo County Office of Education. County departments include Child Support, County Administrator’s Office, Health & Human Services, Library and Probation. Over the past year, this Workgroup has been meeting to develop plans for addressing the key indicators of children’s wellness in Yolo County. The Workgroup has been focusing on indicators that: 1) Impact large numbers of Yolo County kids; 2) Are within the County's span of control; and 3) Are supported by empirical research and data. The Workgroup has identified 4 target areas (including the health, safety, education and income security of Yolo County kids) with 9 total performance indicators. This presentation will include information on the status of the 9 performance indicators, and the associated strategies that the Workgroup has identified to make improvements in the targeted areas. |
